Renate van Riel

In order to receive a broad education, Renate van Riel studied at the conservatories of Utrecht and Amsterdam with Keiko Wataya, Philipp Hirschhorn, Viktor Liberman and István Párkányi.
She took master classes with Charles-André Linale, Stephan Picard, Philipp Hirschhorn and Viktor Liberman. She completed her studies in 1997, the year in which she also joined the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep.

She gained orchestral experience in the National Youth Orchestra as 2nd leader 2nd violins.
She was also a member of the 1st violin groups of the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Jugend Orchester. She was also a member of the Chamber Orchestra of the European Union Youth Orchestra.
Renate has performed with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra, the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra.
She forms a violin duo with colleague Esther de Bruijn, with whom she performs mainly at house concerts and concerts where various art forms come together.

Renate also obtained diplomas in Event Management and Communication.

With great pleasure, she plays a violin that is put at her disposal by the Nationaal Muziekinstrumenten Fonds.
