Friends take the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra (RFO) to heart. They have a special bond with the orchestra. Friends are kept informed of the activities of the orchestra, receive special offers and benefit from discounts on concert tickets and CDs.
As a Friend of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, you pay €35 per person per year or €60 for you and your partner.

As of Jan. 1, 2025, non-business gifts from corporations are no longer deductible. From then on, a non-business gift to charities is considered a non-business expense that is reclassified as a distribution to the shareholder, which is subject to income and dividend tax. The expense can then be reclassified as a donation by the shareholder in private to the relevant anbi or support foundation sbbi.( You can read morehere )

Awards

The quality and versatility of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra are regularly recognised.

In 2014 the orchestra received the Edison Oeuvre Prize 2014. The Edison Foundation considers this oeuvre prize a justifiable recognition of the RFO's great merit for Dutch music culture.

In March 2017, it was announced by Simon Reinink, general director of Het Concertgebouw, that Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Groot Omroepkoor will be awarded the Concertgebouw Prize 2017 for "their invaluable contribution to Dutch musical life and Het Concertgebouw".

The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra is a regular performer in leading series such as the NTR Saturday Matinee and the Sunday Morning Concert in the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, and the AVROTROS Friday Concert in TivoliVredenburg. With its roots firmly planted in the symphonic tradition, the orchestra's repertoire ranges from the great romantic works to today's most exciting world premieres. Composers all over the world praise the expertise and class of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra in this field.
