Jaume Gavilan Agullo

Jaume Gavilan Agullo has been principal trombone player in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra since the 2007-2008 season. He was born in 1986 in Cocentaina, Spain. 

From 2000 to 2004, he studied at the conservatories of Onteniente and Alicante with Ruben Perelló and Juan Navarro respectively. From 2004 to 2008 Jaume studied at Codarts Hogeschool voor de Kunsten with George Wiegel, Jorgen van Rijen and Pierre Volders.
Jaume Gavilan Agullo was second prize winner of a competition for young talent in Villa d' Albuixech and winner of a chamber music competition in D'Urrea with ensemble Timonet Brass. With Brass Band Rijnmond he won the Dutch Brass Band Championships in 2004; with the Rotterdam Trombone Choir he won the ITA Remington Trombone Competition. He played in the 3.1 Trombone Quartet, when it won the Grachtenfestival 2006.
His hobbies are Formula 1, karting, sports and travelling.
