Tim Ouwejan

Tim Ouwejan (geboren op 29-04-2000 in Arnhem, Nederland) is op dit moment solo-trombonist van het Radio Filharmonisch Orkest. Hij was Academist van het Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest in het seizoen 21/22. Tim is onlangs cum laude afgestudeerd met een 9,5 aan het Conservatorium van Amsterdam, hij voltooide in december 2023 zijn master met hetzelfde cijfer. Tim is co-oprichter van het Nymphéas Trombone Quartet, wat hij samen met 3 andere vrienden en collega’s van hetzelfde conservatorium heeft opgericht. Hij won prijzen op diverse internationale competities: de competitie ‘Citta di Porcia’ 2023 (2^e prijs, publieksprijs en jeugdjury prijs), de Praagse Lente competitie 2023  (3^e prijs), de Michel Becquet International Trombone Competition 2023 (2^e prijs and publieksprijs), de Jeju International Brass Competition for Tenor Trombone 2021 (1^e pijs), de Getzen Ian Bousfield Solo Competition 2021 (1^e prijs), de ITF (International trombone festival USA) Frank Smith competitie 2022  (1^eprijs), de ITF Van Haney competitie 2022  (1^e prijs), de ARD international muziek competitie in München 2022  (halve finalist),  de ITF Alto Trombone competition 2021  (1^e prijs), the IPV trombone competition in Saarbrücken 2020  (3^e prijs), bij Classic Young Masters 2019 (Classic Young Masters Award, Young Talent Orchestra Award, publieksprijs).

Tim Ouwejan (born 29-04-2000 in Arnhem, The Netherlands) is currently principal trombone player of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra of the Netherlands and was Academist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in the season 21/22. Tim just finished his bachelor exam with distinction at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and graduated from his masters in December 2023 with the same mark. Tim is co-founder of the Nymphéas Trombone Quartet, which he founded together with three friends and colleagues of the same conservatory. He won prizes at several competitions: the 2023 competition ‘Citta di Porcia’ (2^nd prize, audience prize and young jury prize), the 2023 Prague Spring Competition (3rd prize), the 2023 Michel Becquet International Trombone Competition (2^nd prize and audience prize), the 2021 Jeju International Brass Competition for Tenor Trombone (1^st prize), the 2021 Getzen Ian Bousfield Solo Competition (1^st prize), the 2022 ITF (International trombone festival USA) Frank Smith competition (1^st prize), the 2022 ITF Van Haney competition (1^e prize), the 2022 ARD international music competition Munich (Semifinalist), the 2021 ITF Alto Trombone competition (1^st prize), the 2020 IPV trombone competition in Saarbrücken (3rd prize), at Classic Young Masters 2019 (Classic Young Masters Award, Young Talent Orchestra Award, Audience Award).
