Tim Ouwejan

Tim Ouwejan (born 29-04-2000 in Arnhem, Netherlands) is currently solo trombonist of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra. He was Academist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra during the 21/22 season. Tim recently graduated cum laude with a 9.5 from the Conservatory of Amsterdam; he completed his master's degree with the same grade in December 2023. Tim is co-founder of the Nymphéas Trombone Quartet, which he founded with 3 other friends and colleagues from the same conservatory. He won prizes at several international competitions: the competition "Citta di Porcia" 2023 (^2nd prize, audience prize and youth jury prize), the Prague Spring Competition 2023 (^3rd prize), the Michel Becquet International Trombone Competition 2023 (^2nd prize and audience prize), the Jeju International Brass Competition for Tenor Trombone 2021 (^1st prize), the Getzen Ian Bousfield Solo Competition 2021 (^1st prize), the ITF (International trombone festival USA) Frank Smith competition 2022 (^1stprize), the ITF Van Haney competition 2022 (^1st prize), the ARD international music competition in Munich 2022 (semi-finalist), the ITF Alto Trombone competition 2021 (^1st prize), the IPV trombone competition in Saarbrücken 2020 (^{3rd prize} ), at Classic Young Masters 2019 (Classic Young Masters Award, Young Talent Orchestra Award, audience prize).

Tim Ouwejan (born 29-04-2000 in Arnhem, The Netherlands) is currently principal trombone player of the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra of the Netherlands and was Academist of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra in the season 21/22. Tim just finished his bachelor exam with distinction at the Conservatory of Amsterdam and graduated from his masters in December 2023 with the same mark. Tim is co-founder of the Nymphéas Trombone Quartet, which he founded together with three friends and colleagues of the same conservatory.
