Masha Iakovleva

Masha Iakovleva was born in Moscow in 1973 and began her violin studies in 1980 with her teacher Bojarskaya at the music school in her hometown.

From 1988 to 1990 she studied with Reptshanskaya at Gnessin College. She continued her studies at the Utrecht Conservatory with Philippe Hirshhorn, Viktor Liberman and Charles-André Linale. She graduated in 1997.

In Norway, Masha has played in the Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, the Norwegian Baroque Orchestra and the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra. She has also been a member of the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, New Sinfonietta Amsterdam and the symphony orchestra of the West Deutsche Rundfunk in Cologne. Since 1996 Masha has played in the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra.
