Ludovic Provost

A native of Perpignan, Ludovic Provost studied at the Perpignan and Paris Conservatories.
He made his singing debut at La Maîtrise du Centre de Musique baroque de Versailles and continued his vocal studies with Yves Sotin. Afterwards, he joined the Dutch National Opera Academy under the direction of Alexander Oliver and perfected his skills with Margreet Honig. He took several master classes and was a finalist in numerous international competitions.

Ludovic has been part of the Nederlands Kamerkoor, the Nederlandse Bachvereniging and Les Arts Florissants.Since 2011, he has been a baritone in the Groot Omroepkoor. He also sang as a soloist under the direction of Alfredo Bernardini, William Christie, Richard Egarr, Christophe Rousset and Olivier Schneebeli.
He performed roles in operas by Mozart (Figaro), Britten (Demetrius in Midsummernight's Dream), Handel (as Melisso in Alcina and Curio in Giulio Cesare). He was also heard in Gianni Schicchivan Puccini, as Macrobio in La Pietra del Paragone by Rossini and as Mercutio in Roméo et Juliette by Gounod.
Ludovic's repertoire also includes a large number of songs, contemporary music, Passions by J.S. Bach and liturgical works
