Lars Terray

The Norwegian baritone Lars Terray (1960) studied solo singing in Oslo. He continued his training from 1989 in the opera class of the Sweelinck Conservatoire with Kevin Smith and graduated in 1993. He followed master classes with Oren Brown, Kurt Equiluz, Jill Feldman, Ian Partridge and Nigel Rogers.

Lars is first bass in the Groot Omroepkoor. He is also regularly asked as soloist in oratorio performances. In 1991 he made his appearance at the Erna Spoorenberg Vocalisten-Presentation in Nijkerk. His operatic repertoire includes the roles of Don Inigo (L'heure Espagnole), Dancaire (Carmen), Marquis (Dialogues des Carmelites) and Alfonso (La Favorita). He has worked with conductors such as Gerard Akkerhuis, Kees Bakels, Valery Gergiev, Kenneth Montgomery, Johan van Slageren and Ed Spanjaard.
