Ellen Alberts

Flutist Ellen Alberts was born in Groningen. She played from the age of thirteen in the Regional Youth Orchestra. Afterwards she was part of the World Youth Orchestra and various summer orchestras in Italy, Switzerland and France. Ellen studied at the Musikhochschule Detmold with Paul Meisen and completed her studies in 1981.

She was 2nd alternate first flutist in the Northern Philharmonic Orchestra from 1981 to 1992. Ellen also played in many chamber music ensembles. In 1993 she joined the Muziekcentrum van de Omroep.
Ellen Alberts has a great fondness for the mountains and goes on active trips - preferably every year.
