Noa Wildschut plays Saint-Saëns

Programme

  • Gabriel Fauré Suite Pelléas et Mélisande
  • Camille Saint-Saëns Third Violin Concerto
  • Camille Saint-Saëns Bacchanale from Samson et Dalila

'Artist in residence' of the AVROTROS Friday Concert Noa Wildschut is soloist in an all-French program, with Camille Saint-Saëns' Third Violin Concerto as the central work. A brilliant piece and effectively written, with plenty of room for exciting violinistic display, and with a first movement full of allusions to gypsy music. The concert opens with Gabriel Fauré's Suite Pelléas et Mélissande and concludes with Saint-Saëns' Bacchanale from the opera Samson et Dalila.
