Noa Wildschut plays Saint-Saëns</br>
The new generation of top violin talents is anticipated by Noa Wildschut. Today she is soloing in Saint-Saëns' Third Violin Concerto. NRC praised the way Wildschut makes the musical journey central in this work. She had whispered conversations with the clarinet, made tender love to the oboe, and let herself drift on the saturated tone of the strings'. Saint-Saëns wrote the Third Violin Concerto in Spain. The wanderlust composer incorporated oriental influences into his opera Samson et Delila. This morning, the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra will be playing the rousing Bacchanale from that work .< /br>

Suite from 'Pelléas et Mélisande
By Gabriel Fauré, James Gaffigan conducts the captivating Suite from Pelléas et Mélisande. A tragic love triangle forms the backdrop to Maeterlinck's play of the same name, full of symbolism and mystery. Fauré wrote incidental incidental music for a production in London. From the score he later composed a four-movement orchestral suite.
