Mozart's Clarinet Concerto
Mozart's timeless Clarinet Concerto is warm, lyrical and heavenly. Mozart was enormously impressed when he heard Anton Stadler, the greatest virtuoso of his time, play the clarinet. The instrument had only just existed then, and Mozart immediately composed perhaps the ultimate piece for it: just about all emotions, from cheerful mirth to profound emotion are covered in it. Alongside Mozart's Clarinet Concerto will be music by Dvo?ák and Weber. Dvo?ák's Romance is lyrical and rich, Weber's Konzertstück dreamy and somewhat mysterious.
Young talent
The youngest generation of top musicians, all selected for the AVROTROS Klassiek Presenteert! talent program, are eager to show and hear that the future of classical music looks bright. Gerbrich Meijer, who has been selected for the Dutch Classical Talent program, plays Mozart's timeless Clarinet Concerto. Violin promise Emma Roijackers gives new life to Dvořák's Romance and pianist Shane van Neerden solos in Weber's dreamy and somewhat mysterious Konzertstück.
