The most beloved classical masterpieces, all in one Sunday morning. The National Women’s Youth Choir performs excerpts from Fauré’s heavenlyRequiem, while the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra complements the program with classic hits by Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, and more.

’s Classical Hits In a concert featuring classical hits, Mozart, Bach, and Beethoven—the Big Three of classical music—are essential. According to an old saying, Bach is the ultimate for the mind, Beethoven for the heart, and Mozart for the soul. Together with other “evergreens,” including Smetana’sThe Moldauand Rachmaninoff’sVocalise, the music of Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart forms the core of this concert. A special highlight of the program is Fauré’sRequiem, sung by the National Women’s Youth Choir. The heavenly, comforting music consistently ranks high on classical charts.

The most beloved classical masterpieces are performed by the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Women’s Youth Choir. The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the most versatile orchestras in the Netherlands and a key pillar of the Sunday Morning Concert. The National Women’s Youth Choir features the crème de la crème of young Dutch female singers aged 16 to 30. The choir performs frequently with music spanning from 1500 to the present day, on professional stages both at home and abroad. This morning, the two ensembles will be led by the inspiring conductor Sander Teepen.
