Beethoven 5
Everyone knows the first four notes of Beethoven's Fifth
Symphony: 'Ta-ta-ta-taa!' The catchy yet enigmatic beginning would represent fate knocking at the door, or symbolize Beethoven's impending deafness. The Allies heard the V of "Victory" in it, in Morse code. That's the beauty of this highlight of music history: everyone listens to it differently. The Radio Philharmonic Orchestra plays the iconic masterpiece under the baton of their former principal conductor Markus Stenz.
